A Pink palette of sensations…my Mood-board

Happy Pink Saturday! Thank you so much for visiting me today. It seems to be that I never run out of PINK and there is always something to show you! As I have been crazy busy at the studio and had little chance to prepare something for today as I always do…then I started looking around and to my surprise the place I found more PINK was on my Mood-board. Excellent! Living in Canada our Winters are so dark, cold and long. And it’s a great idea to surround yourself with lots of vibrant colours to beat “the blues”. I sure do! My Mood-board changes from time to time depending on what I am working on, what’s inspiring me or what I am dreaming about…

Today it has a PINK background populated by Marie paper dolls, crowns, party hats, ballerinas, masks, and lots and lots of glitter. I thought it was a great idea to show you this PINK inspiration before I change it…because I am working on a new one. And if you want to have a look at the studio, visit it right here.

Did you know where the word Mood-board comes from and what does it mean? It’s actually a visual tool used by designers to show others an idea in the process or the feeling of a style. Some use digital ones but physical objects have a higher impact on people. Many of us have them in our studios and love decorating them with inspirational ideas, objects, clippings, keepsakes…

Do you have a Mood-board? What do you have on yours?

Now it’s time to head over to Beverly’s blog “How Sweet the Sound” for more PINKFULLNESS…Have a great weekend!

I’ve never heard of a mood board, but now that I’ve seen yours I wonder how I’ve lived so long without one. LOL Love all your pink flights of fancy.

    All the best, Lana

It gets really dark and cold here too in the Winters. Hard for one not to really feel depressed at times! I try to surround myself with vibrant colors and flowers and soft things to make me feel happy. What a fun idea for a “Mood” board! As always it looks just beautiful! You are so talented and I love how you always surround yourself with such beauty! We have that in common for sure! Happy Pink Sat! xo-Molly

I don’t have a mood board exactly…..mine’s more like an “inspiration from other’s” board. It hangs right beside my computer and it’s full of pretty notes and cards from blogging friends. It’s a constant reminder of how lucky I am to have so many sweet friends beyond this little world I hang out in. Happy belated Pink Saturday.

Beautiful mood board! I can’t imagine designers having a digital mood board and it being very inspiring. No dimension. Sometimes you’ve just got to have touchable layers right there. I also love to have words and quotes on a board.

    Happy Pink Saturday,
    Robin

I guess I do sort of have a mood board, although I never looked at it that way before. Right now it’s got some vintage costume rhinestone earrings and brooches on it. :o )

Funny – for years I made smocked baby clothes and EVERYONE wanted pink. I felt like I was drowning in pepto bismal! I stopped doing that and vowed NEVER to work in pink again. Or at least, if I did, it would be screaming fuchsia – none of this baby pink stuff again.

Now, I find myself buying pink beads once in a while. They are sneaking in…

My favorite mood lifters are in shades of turquoise and chartreuse. Anything in those colors has me doing a happy dance.

    Hi Gabriela,
Love your Pink post this week. You are an inspiration of creativity. I have a vision and gratitude board above my office desk. I use it to stay focused on goals and dream big. I like the mood board and think I will incorporate that into my vision board.

    Happy PS

Your Mood Board is festive! Happy Pink Saturday.

Wow, Gabriela. I love this moodboard. It inspires me, too.

I have a board hanging above my desk where I put things I like. I change it around a bit, but some things seem to have earned a permanent. You know that I am a sentimental sap. ;-)

    Happy Pink Sat!!

You are such an inspiration—thanks for letting us look in your studio and see your wonderful works.

I need a Mood Board in my work room (and I need to start referring to that room as a studio!!). The only board I have is an old bulletin board I bought for 25cents at a garage sale. I’ve filled it with favorite photos and memorabilia of fun times. I do need a board that gives inspiration for designs of things I want to make!

    Thanks for the inspiration!
    Dana

    Hi Gabriela
I like your mood board. I worked at a company that designed children’s clothes and I always loved their design boards. That is such a good way to dipslay ideas. I hear it’s pretty cold up inToronto these days! Happy Pink Saturday.
    Hugs, Rhondi
