Craft Kits for Australia in the Works

Last week I posted about Hand Made Help, a group of people who are receiving donations for the Victorian Bushfire Appeal in Australia read my past post here. As I mentioned, I decided to create a variety of Craft Kits to send our fellow crafters there.

I am presently choosing and selecting materials for one of my Spring classes sample projects. And this couldn’t be a better time to also prepare these Craft Kits! I want them to be fun and useful.
So far I have selected papers, trims, buttons, flowers, music sheets, vintage papers…

Crafters might even sell what the make for profit to help recovery from these difficult times. And that’s why I will be including tutorials and ideas with the Craft Kits. They are all invited to visit my Crafts page and also to send me any questions they might have. I will be so happy to assist them!
I will be sharing the process here on my blog and you will get to see the actual Craft Kits just before the head to Australia! Cant’ wait to finish them.

These look lovely. After visiting your post I found an etsy site that is having an on-going event selling things until March 31s. I donated one of my large prints for them to sell.
Such a great cause Gabriela, and your kits look wonderful.
Karen
I also sent things to a person who is organizing there.
Be forewarned! Rather than one large package, put your donations into smaller packages and mail several of them.
I put together a box of fabrics – not THAT many – but it was going to cost $58 to ship. Anything over 4# MUST go priority – and priority to AU is expensive. On the advice of my post mistress, I repackaged into smaller envelopes, and the six manilla envelopes only cost 13.50 to ship!
… just thought you might be interested.
I already told you that I think this is such a good idea. I’m collection things for this cause too now, thanks for inspiration!
Have a great day!
