Pink Saturday with a Punch!

PUNCH ART STATIONERY

PUNCH ART STATIONERY DISPLAY

PUNCH ART

Happy Pink Saturday! Today I am sharing a very simple craft project with you I made using a Butterfly Paper Craft Punch. Thanks Martha {Martha Stewart} for always coming up with different ones, I think I have them all! This Butterfly Paper Craft Punch is really pretty and great to use in so many different projects. As you all probably know, I make my own paper from recycled pulp as I have explained it here. And of course I always have “fresh” sheets to make stationery for any occasion. It’s great to receive handmade cards!

But this time I needed to make a nice envelope to place “a little something”…I chose a delicate sheet from my handmade paper stash with delicate touches of pink. It looks more like a watercolour but textured paper. Love it! I cut a small heart and glued it to resemble a seal but also wanted to add something else to it, a bright colour accent. My Butterfly Paper Craft Punch came to my mind, punched a few butterflies and added one to the small heart.

This bright pink butterfly definitely added a nice contrast of colours to the envelope. I have saved some punched butterflies for another project and also kept the scrapbooking paper that I punched. I will then use it as a stencil! I hope you enjoyed this easy project.

It is now time to head over to Beverly’s blog for more PINKNESS at “How Sweet the Sound”. Did you know that Pink Saturday turned a year already? Congratulations Beverly!

Have a wonderful weekend and thanks so much for visiting!

Lovely and so simple. I love the way the two textures contrast – the rough of the paper and the smooth regularity of the butterfly shape.

    Have a great Pink Saturday!

With our little PINK SATURDAY having a birthday this week, I am on “pink overload” and that is difficult to do to me! I’m lovin’ it like crazy!

What lovely pinks this week you have, my dear. The better to see your through my rose colored glasses!☺

Have a great weekend. Not all that warm up in my neck of the woods but the sun is out and that makes the day good. I hope you are surrounded by those you love and that you, too, are bathed in sunshine.

Recycled paper have a very nice feel to it. And I like the fact that it’s not smooth and I can see bits and pieces of different colors of papers combined. The butterfly is a nice added touch as a seal. The punched paper look pretty too to save for another project. No waste at all :-)

    Happy PS
