Happy Pink Saturday everyone! It’s back to school season and time for young ones to accessorize themselves! Listening to my friends looking for suggestions on things to wear for their children I got very inspired creating… and came up with some ideas…Today I am sharing with you a super affordable and easy tutorial Cupcake Ribbon Bracelet Tutorial.

The world is going through a tough time. We really need to look around and be grateful for what we do have. But this doesn’t mean that we have to stop creating! Challenging times make us more creative as we have to look for alternatives for our projects. My Mom used to say: “if you like it but you can’t buy it…we will try to make it”.

Any girl can make this bracelet, it’s simple! Her with the glue gun to avoid any burns. She will have a unique piece made by her that is not available at any stores. That is super cool! I am sure that the other girls would want to make learn how to make one for themselves.

We all have left over pieces of ribbon, paper flowers, glitter, rhinestones and craft punches, right? I love cupcakes and always find any excuse to incorporate them into my work. Well this all you need to put this bracelet together! Let’s do it!

INSTRUCTIONS:

1- Gather pieces of ribbon of contrasting colours and different thickness about 6″.

2- Fold and hot glue them on the edges at the back using your glue gun  just like in the images above. Make your ties.

3- Measure, find the center and hot glue a big flower using your glue gun.

4- Brush white glue on ribbon polka dots and glitter them {I used fine glitter}. Let dry completely.

GLITTERING TIPS: here

5- Hot glue a smaller flower onto the big one using your glue gun.

6- Using a cupcake craft punch {mine is from Martha Stewart’s Crafts} punch a few cutouts.

7- Brush white glue on your punch cutouts and glitter them {I used fine glitter}. Let dry completely.

8- Hot glue your cupcake cutout onto the small flower on your bracelet.

Your bracelet is ready to wear!

Last Pink Saturday I shared another bracelet tutorial with embroidery ribbon. If  you missed it you can find it here. Now is time to visit Beverly our Pink Saturday host at “How Sweet the Sound” right here for more PINKALICIOUSNESS! Thank you so much for your visit today and have a great weekend!

DISCLOSURE: I have not received any samples or compensation from Martha Stewart’s Crafts… for writing this content and I have no material connection to the brands, topics and/or products that are mentioned herein.

    Hello Gabriela,

    Happy PiNk Saturday to you!
    This bracelet is too cute!
Thanks for dropping by for a visit.
    I always enjoy seeing you.

To answer your question about all
of my fabric…it’s actually a collection
of lots of vintage and modern fabrics
and is part of my shop inventory. I’ve had
about a 4 year lapse in having my
website active due to lots of life changes
    and many moves.

I do use it for decorating in my own
home but the majority of it is for sale
and will be available at my website
    hopefully by Halloween. Getting
organized again with the proper storage
is what I’m doing now that I finally
have all the windows installed in the
    great room! YAY

    Anywho…that was a long answer to a
simple question…LOL Now you know! :-)

    Love & Light,
    Stephanie

    Hello again,

Karen: Thanks for your thoughts. The Tornado touched in Owen Sound, Vaughan and Woodbridge. But we all got the powerful storm, it was quite a show.
I have never seen anything like it here.

    ~ Gabriela ~

  44. August 22, 2009

What a beautiful creation! Thanks for reminding us that wonderful creations come from what we already have….and our heart.

    Happy Pink Saturday!

    Dana

PS I think I’ll save this idea to make with my little gr. girl when she’s a bit older!

  45. August 22, 2009

I don’t know what happened to my comment, but just in case I thought I would leave another. I love the wrislet and any little girl would adore this, big girls too.

I was watching the weather report and I saw the Tornado that Toronto had. I am so glad that you are okay. We had a Tornado warning but it didn’t amount to anything.

    Happy Pink Saturday Karen

  46. August 22, 2009

Hi Gabriela, What a gorgeous wristlet, I know that every little girl would adore this, and with the help of this tutorial so many moms could help them create them.

Thanks for the reminder about Vanessa, I just read your post below.

I am so glad that you are okay, I was just watching the weather report and I couldn’t believe that there was a Tornado in Toronto. We had a warning, but nothing happened. Lions and Tigers and Bears, how scary is that.

    Happy Pink Saturday.

    Karen

    Hello everyone,

    Ladyjane:
You are wondering where I find the time to create…I am afraid that I do it all the time for work and pleasure…it’s just so much fun!

    ~ Gabriela ~

  49. August 22, 2009

OMG…this is Adorable! I’m so going to have to try this…already have your ribbon rose bracelet on my to do list…you surely inspire us pinkies..but now…lol…can you tell me where you find all the time? And if you have some extra time…lol…could you share? Happy PS!

  50. August 22, 2009

    Hi Gabriella
I too, love what you mom said :) When you make it, it’s unique to you!!
I don’t have a little girl going to school, but I may be going to school with my little guys. (I may have to ride the bus with my pre-schooler – ha ha) Maybe I could make one for myself.
Thanks for the tutorial. You are always so generous to share.
    Nerissa

“if you like it but you can’t buy it…we will try to make it” – your mum had a great way of doing things. You then have the added satisfaction that you’ve actually made it yourself … you forget you couldn’t afford the original in the first place.

This is a delightful bracelet to make – a fun project to keep crafty hands busy :)

    Happy pink saturday.

    ciao for now,
    Elena :)
