Eileen Hull he is the creator extraordinaire of the new Scoreboard from Sizzix. She has organized a Blog Hop and has invited a group of talented designers to participate.  I am so honored to be one of them. Today we are all featuring the Sizzix ScoreBoards XL Die – Cupcake Holder die from Eilleen’s ScoreBoards collection.

I have been working on my gift wraps…and of course I am always trying new ideas to pack presents. I have been dreaming about making gift boxes that incorporate my cupcake cup flowers as a lid. And when I saw Eileen’s Cupcake Holder die cut I immediately found the perfect part for my box I was looking for!

This is a super easy and fast project to make.

MATERIALS:

Sizzix ScoreBoards XL Die – Cupcake Holder

Fine purple glitter

Brush

White glue

Metallic silver ribbon

Glue gun

Glue sticks

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Lay the Sizzix ScoreBoards XL Die – Cupcake Holder flat and using a brush evenly lather white glue on it .
  2. To protect your surface and collect glitter remains, place a sheet of paper on your table.
  3. Sprinkle the Sizzix ScoreBoards XL Die – Cupcake Holder evenly with purple glitter.
  4. Let dry completely.
  5. Cut a piece of metallic ribbon and pass it through holes to tie the Sizzix ScoreBoards XL Die – Cupcake Holder.
  6. Add scrap goodies, millinery flowers, laces and glitter inside it.
  7. Add a cupcake cup flower lid to your new Sizzix ScoreBoards XL Die – Cupcake Holder box and you are done!

I really love this gift box, it’s all about cupcakes! Isn’t it fun?

fun gift wrap idea – would make a lovely box for a jewelry gift!

I’ve, so far, managed to refrain from purchasing a Sizzix or Cricut – but I may have to break down.
