Die Cut Pocket-Purse Project.
I have introduced you earlier to artist/designer Eileen Hull the creator of the new Scoreboard from Sizzix. She has organized another Blog Hop for today and she has invited me again to participate. I am so honored! Today we are all featuring the Sizzix ScoreBoards XL Die – Notebook Pocket die from Eilleen’s ScoreBoards collection.
As I mentioned on my prior post on die cuts, I have been working on my gift wraps…This time I designed a pocket-purse to keep beautiful napkins. I used to collect them as a child and had tons of them! One of my friend’s daughters seems very interested in starting a collection herself. Her birthday is coming up soon and I decided to inspire her even more with a cute present!
This is a super easy and fast project to make.
MATERIALS:
Sizzix ScoreBoards XL Die – Notebook Pocket
Wired ribbon
Decorative Paper – Gift Wrapping Paper
Paper Flower
Festive Metallic Garland
Glue Stick
Glue gun
Glue sticks
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Lay the Sizzix ScoreBoards XL Die – Notebook Pocket flat on a surface.
- Add glue to the Die Cut using your glue stick and cover it.
- Glue decorative paper to it making sure it adheres evenly.
- Place some weights such as scrapbooking blocks or books on it and let dry for a few hours.
- Hot glue and put together your Sizzix ScoreBoards XL Die – Notebook Pocket.
- It will look like a very pretty empty pocket!
- Decorate and hot glue the wired ribbon all around the edges using your glue gun.
- Measure and cut a piece of your festive metallic garland.
- Hot glue it to the inside of your pocket using your glue gun.
- Hot glue a piece of ribbon and a paper flower to the front.
- Add some nicely folded napkins {mine on the photos above are French}.
Doesn’t this purse/pocket look lovely?
