Holiday Gift Wrapping Trends 2009…Festive Tsutsumi…

November 27, 2009

Japanese Gift Wrapping Style “Tsutsumi” has always been one of my most favorite ways to decorate gift packages. Japanese papers are not only beautiful but also great to work with. There are so many different kinds…but a very specific type to use in “Tsutsumi”. Green, Gold and Red are the traditional colours of Christmas. I have used glittered paper accents {by the way, glitter is everywhere, I am so happy!} on these packages along with techniques such as paper pleating, Mizuhiki

Wouldn’t you love learning how to gift wrap and embellish a package like this? What are you doing on Wednesday,  December 2?

Join me at my Festive Tsutsumi Gift Wrapping Workshop at The Paper Place here.

OH, those festive packages with Japanese cord and origami are just exquisite! I wish I were close enough to attend!
