Gift Styling Workshop – Part Two…Assembling & Decorating Gift Baskets…
Saturday, November 28, was the kick-start of my Gift Styling Workshop at the Central Eglinton Community Center {CECC} here in Toronto at 160 Eglinton Avenue East. Participants were introduced to paper types, colour trends, textures and we explored the various uses of them. I always love to make paper kits from my personal collection and include rare pieces.
Participants also learned how to pleat gift wrapping paper and also paper scraps {leftovers} to embellish their packages. Making flowers out of plastic bows was also scheduled for this workshop and participants learned how to turn a simple plastic bow into beautiful gift toppers! Photos of the workshop here. What I like the most about my workshops is that they are all different and I tailor them depending on participants needs. Next Saturday, December 5, participants will learn how to assemble and decorate gift baskets by their request. If you are planning to attend this is what you need to bring:

Baskets: wicker baskets, wood baskets or wood crates
Containers: metal tins, wire baskets, plastic pails or gift boxes
Tissue paper in various colours
Shredded paper in various colours {shred your own or store-bought}
Cellophane rolls {transparent}
Tulle netting
