Sweet Valentine Bracelet for “little people”…who also want to be “green”…

January 28, 2010

We are all anxiously awaiting for Valentine’s Day…some making restaurant reservations, planning a very special meal at home and others participating in events at school. My today’s post is for the “little people” who also love to celebrate! How about recycling and making something cool? Because…you don’t just want to wear what everybody else will, right? This is my Sweet Valentine Bracelet tutorial for you…

All you need is a cardboard roll of ribbon, glue and glitter. That’s it! And you can make it in a flash. Let’s get to this project now.

MATERIALS:

Aleene’s® Original Tacky Glue®

Tulip® Fashion Glitter™ {Primary 6PK}

Aleene’s® Paper Appliqué Glue®

A bag of heart foam shapes

Brush

INSTRUCTIONS:

1- Look for a nice cardboard ribbon roll from your stash or recycled items.

2- Brush Aleene’s® Original Tacky Glue® on the outside surface.

3- Using Tulip® Fashion Glitter™ {Primary 6PK} in red, glitter your heart foam shape making sure you cover the surface evenly. Repeat process if necessary.

4- Let dry completely.

Repeat this process on your heart foam shape. And make sure you also glitter the edges of your heart foam shape as well.

5- Using a few drops of Aleene’s® Paper Appliqué Glue® adhere your now glittered heart foam shape to your new bracelet. Add some pressure to it and hold for a few minutes.

6- You have a brand new Sweet Valentine Bracelet!

Enjoy!

I was just telling my husband earlier, that I love it when a blogger shows you a photo of “a pile of stuff” AND THEN shows you what it can be. Whether it’s doo-dads or drawer pulls – it’s a lot of fun! This is my first Pink Saturday – to post and browse – lots of pink and fun. Thanks! Jenn

I love your instructions there for the darling Valentine. Thanks for visiting my blog. I too had a facination with Alaska and my dream came true after my husband retired we sold our house in CA, packed all our goods and had them shipped to storage in Anchorage and started looking for a small town to live in. We’ve been here since May 01 and never sorry a minute. Nan
